The reason for doing this research is because Peterborough and District Amateur Radio (PADARC) club will be 50 on the 20th July 2025 and it was suggested on our newly started 2@2 net (2020) that it would be interesting to see what other radio clubs were in the area and when did amateur radio first come to Peterborough. At the start of the research, I only had the diary from 1975 starting with the inaugural meeting of Greater Peterborough Radio Club, and over the years I have found/been handed the following information. Some has come from Ofcom, some from RSGB and other bits from a couple of club members and also the RSGB Archive discs from 1925 onwards.
